What's the difference between Wushu and Shaolin kungfu?
I want to find out what lessons to take and there are those two choices in my area|||Wushu in very basic terms IS Shaolin (hard) and (soft) styles like Tai chi,Ba-gua. All of the moves and techniques you see in a Wushu performance are valid techniques from many of the (hard and soft) systems. The techniques are done in a very fast and flashy way. It is a performance and theatrical art.|||Wushu is kung-fu, but it's more of a gymnastic style than the Shaolin. It depends on what your looking for, but both will strengthen you tremendously inside %26amp; out. The Shaolin is definatly the better choice for a fightng style tho.|||Ones prior to communist china, the other is more gymnastics then fighting. but both take ******* ages to get anything out of it and then it depends whether you have had a decent teacher and can apply it. stick with something simple and something with a high standard of teaching.
