What is Kungfu in martial art. NO HISTORY, but principals, practice and major aspects and forecast that?

totally make a clear separation between kungfu and other forms of martial art. Any links appreciated.|||Generic principles, but not common to all kung u arts:

1. rooting. Stances develop the ability to draw power from the ground up.

2. the water course way: use the enemy's own force to defeat him. Do not oppose force with force.

3. Power. Do not strike merely with the arm, but with the whole body.

4. Techniques- the legs are used primarily for footwork, so hand and arm techniques predominate over kicks (except in some styles)

5. sil lum ne dar- some, but not all, kung fu systems using the simultaneous block and attack.

6. vital points- most arts involve striking to sensitive areas and to acupressure points.

7. body hardening- some styles practice "hard" body conditioning so as to withstand strikes and kicks if a block fails.

8. hand conditioning- many styles use some sort or iron palm or sandbag training

9. economy of motion- a minimum amount of your energy is used to win

10. internal aspects- breathing exercises and slow motions to develop "chi"

11. become the animal- if you are in an animal style, you transform yourself into the spirit of the animal, rather than just imitate the animal

12. nonviolence- in many systems, there is a Buddhist idea of using only necessary force to defeat an enemy.|||There are known to be at least 300-400 different styles known as Kung-Fu styles. They are sometime alike, and sometimes very different. The only thing that is sure is the Kung-Fu (also known as Gung-Fu) refers to styles of martial arts that originated in China. There are h8ndreds of other martial arts from many countries. The most common one is Karate, which originated in Okinawa but has some Chinese influence. The Okinawan's introduce Karate to Japan. Now there are about 50 styles of Karate. In Korea there are at least 75 different styles of Taekwondo. But there are other martial arts in Korea too. This only scratches the surface of what is out there. I have been studying the martial arts for 43 years. I have been researching as much as possible about as many martial arts as I can. Yet, I have only scratched the surface. Almost every day I learn something new about the martial arts.

...|||Kung Fu is a generic term that describes ALL Chinese MAs including styles with roots in Buhddism, Taoism, and Muslim MAs. There are well over 300 styles of Kung Fu(Chinese MAs). Kung Fu styles are usually influenced by other MAs in the areas they were created. Chinese MAs have also influenced MAs from other countries as well.|||lots of styles......if you are looking at an opponant, pick a style to defeat him.

different styles suit different ppl.. you tube might help you pick one from form.

only the student can make a style appear insufficient.

all of them require fitness, repetition, strength, speed, and practice to be ok at...even boxing.

kungfu and its variants from china

karate and its variants from japan

silat from malay / indonesia?

tai kwon do from korea

like ford....which model

chevy....which model

etc etc|||For a clear answer to this you will need to do some homework. So many styles, so many cultural influences that it would take a book to cover and than I'm sure the author would be criticized for leaving some out.|||there are over 300 styles of kung besides the origins it would take a few books to write every thing else|||All BS.

The only thing that works is boxing with some grappling skills. Best for the street.
