I heard from my friend that there have been cases who get recovered by practing chi kung.Is that possible?|||Participating in activities that bring you joy are always a positive influence on your life whether or not it is Kung Fu or Qigong. Studies have shown that cancer patients who remain active and find purpose in life tend to live longer or actually beat the disease. So regardless of whether or not you believe in Qi or its healing properties, do what you enjoy.
Now, put aside the mystical stuff. Qigong and other activities like it have been shown to reduce stress, hypertension, and lower high blood pressure. How? Qi literally means air and Gong means method. Ultimately "breathing method." Qigong is essentially learning how to breath in a therapeutic manner accompanied by various exercises. This relaxes the the muscles around your blood vessels thus allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. All the stress, hypertension, high blood pressure is reduced, nutrients get to where they need to go, and toxins are metabolized more readily. This is all a good thing for ANYONE regardless of their present state of health, and it can only help cancer patients improve their quality of life. There are numerous other benefits, but these are the most tangible ones relating to your question.|||No. If it were true, don't you think everyone would know it?|||Darn! If I'd known that, I could have forgone that irritating brain tumor surgery I just went through in sept!!
