What karate or kungfu or somthin do jackie chan use?

Jackie Chan uses THEATRICAL martial arts.|||He uses a few different styles of kung-fu. Some are real, and some are made up for the movies (I think he mentioned the style used in the Drunken Master movies was made up for the films)

I don't remember which ones, but they're mentioned in his book "I am Jackie Chan"|||Jackie Chan has studied a number of Chinese Boxing styles, among them are Wing Chun and Five Animals Kung Fu.|||Jackie chan is an expert in monkey style and also snake ,tiger and eagle.|||KSnake10 is correct, Wing Chun.

Wing Chun is identifiable by it's wide "horse" stance. It was developed in China by militia who worked on rice patties, typically up to their knees or shins in water, who needed a wide fighting stance to prevent being knocked down. Another Wing Chun tell-tale is the rapid hand movement, achieved by heptahours on the wooden dummy. Jackie Chan's musculature comes from gymnastics. He is an avid gymnast and has even been featured in Blackbelt Magazine and Men's Health, discussing his gymnastic workouts.|||Jackie Chan's specialty is Beijing Opera, not Kung Fu. The reason he has been so successful is because he has adapted Beijing opera, particularly comedy, to movies. Beijing Opera has always made extensive use of dangerous acrobatic moves, and in fact, traditional Beijing opera can be far more dangerous than any of the things Jackie Chan does in fact, Chan himself has stated that while does enjoy doing the occasional opera, that he prefers movie stunt work because its less dangerous.

The reason Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan, both had and have remarkable agility, is because both, as children, endured brutal training. Lees family was famous in Hong Kong for producing outstanding actors in Beijing opera, the art I mean, meaning all the kids were trained in acrobatics, including Lee himself. The training for Beijing opera, like I said, is brutal, and the trainers themselves are often extremely abusive. Lee never suffered abuse, BUT, his father was still no less strict with his acrobatics training, because the family name depended on it, than other men familiar with the art.

The reason Lee picked up on so many martial arts styles so quickly, is because the agility and coordination afforded him through acrobatic training, made it so that he was already coordinated and strong in the first place, so any move he picked up, he picked up on it quickly. Its the same with Jackie Chan; Chan has a wide variety of Kung Fu moves in his repertoire, and he even uses quite a bit of Tae Kwan Do. The difference between Chan and Lee, is that Lee emphasized Kung Fu in the movies, making the moves spectacular, whereas Chan emphasized acrobatic comedy with SOME Kung Fu thrown in for fun.

As to what styles he uses, well, he uses moves from pretty much everything. Whatever the contract demands.

Hope that answered the question.|||Like ....uh....crouching bear style....or ...... like something....or ....uh.....like some stuff. Uh.....you know.....like .....uh..... a bear crouching in the woods....and ....like.....stuff.|||Jackie Chan uses Wing Chung as for dmaud56 he's wide of the mark with his Bruce Lee lesson, Bruce Lee's dad was a famous Cantonese opera singer that toured the world that's how Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco. They never produced acrobats Bruce Lee was a child film actor and his dad was the first to teach him a little Wing Chung along with some Ti Chi. He later studied Wing Chung with Yipp Man and was also Hong Kong's cha, cha, cha champion, Bruce Lee knew Wing Chung and his own style Jeet Kwon Do not boxing and Karate and Judo and this and that.True Bruce Lee was flexible but no where near Jackie Chan. Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan met twice when Chan was a famous stunt double on this he was quoted "He was just way to fast for me"
